Blank Page Boy

Written over many years, beginning in 2014, Blank Page Boy is a four part poem that delves soul first into the author’s identity. From gender, to race, to faith and language, what makes a person themselves?

All of us are taught so much about ourselves, but the richest knowledge is that in which we learn about ourselves. This piece, available now in this 5.5” x 5.5” pocket poem book, exclusively from T*B*D*ink., is simultaneously a mirror, a window, a door and a wall wrapped into one.

Lastly, in this edition comes the debut of a new poem, that has fans of Gabe’s work reeling, a secret trail of bread crumbs scattered throughout the text, coming to final form as “a poem: by the poem“, available to read exclusively within the pages of Blank Page Boy: in four parts

I Like Being Dead

"I Like Being Dead" is the debut collection of poetry from Gabriel Kittle-Cervine, writer, organizer and educator from Santa Cruz, CA. In this book, Gabe explores an evolving relationship with death, from the contemplative musings of a young child, to the shapeshifting experiences of loss that we encounter as we grow older.

It's a funny, frightening and confusing cacophony of a-literal honesty. There's a little something for everyone in this book, and even more for those who know and cherish the sacred piece of life that we call death. "I Like Being Dead" is a conversation taking place between Gabe & the voices that speak through them.

PRAISE

Gabriel Kittle-Cervine has written a book that I wish I had been able to read when I was in high school. Not because this book is childish, quite the opposite, but this book will save someone’s life. If there is a poetry book that says “I see you, I love you” more clearly than this, I have not read it.
— Wil Gibson, author of Harvest the Dirt
This book is more honest than you’ll probably be comfortable with, but if you find yourself feeling courageous enough to allow Gabriel to take you on this narrated journey through grief and all it’s moving parts, you will be forever transformed.
— Raggedy Andey, author of Portrait of an Infection
